Music CD - Hope For The Holidays Benefiting JDRF

A locally produced charity album is going international this holiday season to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The album, "JDRF’s Hope for the Holidays," includes 27 tracks not only from local artists such as Kate Cotter, Grace Hutchinson, Shanti Shanti and Haggis Rising, but also a long list of heavy hitters including Weezer, Collective Soul, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Mike Love of the Beach Boys, Jon Anderson of Yes and David Coverdale. Film director Bryan Singer ("The Usual Suspects," "X-Men" and "Valkyrie) plays piano on "Mr. Grinch" with Reno's Haggis Rising.

Some of the national artists have ties to the area, including the Beach Boys' Mike Love and Creedence Clearwater Revisited. And almost every artist who contributed to the album came from connections made over the years by the album's producer, Tom Gordon of Reno.
